Is video editing coming to the iPhone?

07 Apr 2009

Plans for iPhone 3.0 have already had Apple fans and mobile watchers cooing. But it seems there's even more to the new OS than MMS, cut and paste and some new app trickery.

ElectricPig has unearthed plans to bring video editing and YouTube uploading to the iPhone, with an Austrian developer, Ben Miller, digging up images in the beta release which refer to editing software.

If that's the case, it'll be a boon for iPhone users and also give Apple a chance to take on the likes of the Flip Mino and Creative Vado. It's becoming increasingly clear that Apple is planning a new device for June at WWDC, with talk in yesterday's newspapers even pointing to an end to their exclusive deal with O2 here in the UK.
