Cinemas to show Six Nations England matches in 3D

13 Jan 2010

Six Nations in 3DWe know that Sony and Fifa have teamed up to bring us some of the World Cup matches in 3D come June, but much sooner than that we’ll be able to watch England in the Six Nations rugby tournament in an extra dimension as well.

Granted, this won’t be through our own TVs – you’ll have to get yourself to one of 40 Odeon and Cineworld cinemas that will be showing the action on their screens, and also pick up your tickets in advance.

There will be two games shown – the first will be the England v. Wales game on 6 February, and the second will be the England v. Ireland game on 27 February.

If you fancy this, and you’re an O2 customer, you’re in luck – you can get your mitts on tickets early. Simply text 3D to 2020 from your O2 phone from 25 January to secure yours.

Don’t panic if not though, tickets will go on full sale from 29 January priced at £12.50 for adults and £10 for under 14s.

Let us know if you’ll be paying the cash for an extra dimension below.

Nope, it's because the number is wrong - it should be 2020.

I'll be going only if the cinemas are serving beer.  Reckon the lack of alcohol might stop a lot of people going to the cinema to watch this.
