Subbuteo gets the team back together for a relaunch

Remember before FIFA and Pro Evo? If you don’t, there’s a good chance you missed out on Subbuteo – the classic table football game that involved flicking tiny players mounted on weighted semi-spherical plinths into a match ball that dwarfed every man on the pitch.

Subbuteo may have been around in one shape or another since 1947, but it’s not ready to retire to the comfy sofa of punditry just yet. The new version will be hitting shelves on March 5, with pre-ordering starting on January 24 from Amazon.co.uk.

A few changes have been made to the Subbuteo squad, not least flattened bases for the plinths and flexible players who’ll put paid to that wasted injury time spent trying to superglue the brittle lads back together after overzealous challenges.

The new game includes a deluxe pitch cloth, English, Scottish and Irish strips (plus Premiership sides including Man U, Chelsea and Liverpool) and costs £40. Coincidentally, the Table Football World Cup is also on in 2012. Yeah, we didn't know it existed either.

I see that you have a lot of knowledge about games and stuff. Unfortunately I'm not that much of a fan when it comes to football. Sorry!! Can you please recommend me a nice fantasy hockey game? It's ok if you don't know any. Thank you in advance.

I love soccer and I think soccer is the best sports game where you can have fun with sports betting.Nothing compares with that feeling when you win.
