If your hairline is hurtling away from your forehead at a rate of knots, you'll want the Headcase hairdryer. Not only does it look like a power tool-come-weapon, it uses infrared tech to stimulate your lazy follicles and thicken your mane.

At the moment Headcase is just a concept design, but if it gets off the ground, we could see blow-dried eighties haircuts making a comeback. Though not perms, mercifully. Here’s hoping this becomes more real than Wayne Rooney's hairdo.
