Dyson DC41 Animal eats your pet's leftovers

Dyson DC41

Dyson's latest super-sucker is similar to the older DC25 but with an updated ball design that puts more of the vacuum's workings inside the ball itself for a less cluttered design. Called the Animal, it's specifically designed to rid your home of pesky pet hair.

It comes, as you'd expect, with a multitude of tools. Onboard are a debris nozzle/brush tool, stair tool and our favourite – the mini turbine head, designed to get into the tricky bits on your sofa or car seats, especially if they're hairier than a waxing parlour's wheelie bin.

It's out today priced at US$600, but we're expecting UK pricing an release date soon.

It looks like a rather useful device, but the price tag might deter some people. As my dog gets older, it sheds more and more hair around the house and cleaning up can be a headache. Regular vacuum cleaners clogs up too easily. I might have to give this one a try.

I've seen this model of vacuum cleaner at a vet Tucson based clinic and it's really worth it's money. It gets all the pet hairs out of carpets and sofas, it has all these gadgets you can use to vacuum under the bed or behind closets. I'm planning on getting one myself as soon as they will appear on the local market.
