5 of the best James Bond gadgets – Leica M9-P Edition Hermes

Leica M9-P Edition Hermes

£18,000, leica-camera.com

Surveillance is a large part of working for MI5, as any agent probably shouldn’t tell you. And if something's worth doing, it's worth doing in style – so the Leica M9 P Edition Hermes is ideal. Designed by Walter de’Silva, whose day job is working on Bugattis and Bentleys (the literary Bond's motor of choice), the Hermes features smart minimalist design as well as a 2.5 LCD with sapphire crystal and 18MP sensor – ensuring you capture your target's best side.

Pay £18,000 pounds for the camera and Leica will kindly throw in a silver anodised Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH lens – so you don’t have to get too close and blow your cover.

"Surveillance may be a large part of working for MI5", but James Bond works for MI6 ( or SIS as it should be known).
