Sony’s not having a good run of it at the moment. First, its PlayStation Network gets hacked. Now its phone arm – Sony Ericsson – has been seiged by looters who’ve made off with the entire shipment of New Zealand’s Xperia Play mobiles, according to @VodafoneNZ on Twitter.
We’re not sure that the phones were on the high seas, or that real pirates (of the swashbuckling ilk) are responsible for the theft, but we like to think so. Perhaps they were after the pirates’ code (ba-dom-tish!). More likely they wanted to play Lego Pirates of the Caribbean.
