Just because they could – face recognition dessert machine

Sorry kids, but these tasty tempatations are for adults only

Christmas is normally a time for children to be spoilt and showered with all manner of tasty treats and toys, but Kraft foods has bucked the trend by introducing a vending machine in Chicago that uses facial recognition to only dispense tasty desserts to its target market – adults.

The decadent mousse treats are dispensed to grown-ups after an Intel-powered camera scans for facial age, though we’re unsure at this time whether the crushed face of a weeping dessert-deprived child will be able to sway the machine’s cold heart.
