iTunes handing over free Christmas downloads

Tunes might not have gone totally DRM free yet, but the massive online music store has just fired us word that they will be giving away free downloads

Kicking off on 26 December, the offer will apparently include rare tunes, classic music vids and even TV episodes. As long as it's not another Vicar of Dibley special, we'll take it. It is free after all.

Unsurprisngly, Apple's remaning coy about any other plans it has for the iTunes store, but you can expect Phil Schiller to tear down the DRM wall when he gives the last ever Apple keynote at Macworld in January.
