We hope you haven’t circled June 6 in your calendar with permanent marker as the next generation of Apple’s wonder-phone looks set to be unveiled in early September, if Reuters’ three mystery sources are to be believed. It’s still possible Apple will announce its next-gen smartphone at June’s WWDC event, but should the autumn rumours prove correct it would make more sense for the company to shift the announcement to September – a time it usually reserves for iPod news. So, time now to decide whether a snappier processor and improved camera are worth the wait without jumping over to the Android or Windows ships.
