While all eyes were on Amazon's Kindle announcement this week, TmoNews were digging up some tablet news of a different variety. They found these out-in-the-wild snaps of the upcoming 4G Huawei tablet, a few months before it's rumoured to launch in the US.
The MediaPad will run on Android Honeycomb 3.2, packs a 1.2Ghz dual-core processor and a 7in 1280x800px screen. It's keeping up with the Android Joneses with Wi-Fi, front and rear facing cameras – no more details on these just yet – and 16GB of internal memory.
OK so the interface and basic design are nothing new but what might set it apart is the $200 price tag on a 24 month contract – an unusual tactic for tablets but one that could get hordes of bargain hunting techies over to the Huawei corner.
