Huawei has released an official demo version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for its midrange 1.4Ghz-powered 4in Honor smartphone.
The surprise move means that the Honor is the first smartphone since the Samsung Galaxy Nexus to officially have Ice Cream Sandwich – although we're not sure how stable it will run given its beta tag.
Motorola's Xoom tablet and a whole range of Samsung smartphones are among the list of devices also expected to get a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich goodness in the near future, so lets hope Huawei's announcement shifts them up a gear – we're hungry.
