People went mad for it at MWC back in Feb and it’s common knowledge there have been a few bumps and hiccups along the road to the release of the G1’s successor, citing ‘last minute hardware issues’ as the reason for this hold-up.
First it was due for release on 17 April, it was then pushed back to 1 May, but this morning we switched on our Macs only to find out that ever changing release date has been pushed back yet again to 5 May – well it is according to Vodafone’s website. We’d like to think Vodafone knows what it’s talking about seeing as it’s been given full exclusivity of the Android toting beauty.
So now those creases have finally been ironed out (we hope), Android wannabes will be able to get their mitts on the world’s second official Android phone in a few weeks.
Forgotten what lies beneath its shiny white outer shell? Well, here’s a little refresher: full 3.2in touchscreen, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, a 3.2 megapixel camera, complete with flash and auto focus and the Android OS of course. Let’s just hope that release date isn’t so elusive this time round.
