HP readies 10in Mini-Note netbook

Netbooks are meant to be a cheap way to get online, pester your mates on Facebook and maybe tickle a few spreadsheets on the train of a Monday morning

Well, HP's back with a new 10in version of their pricey model, dubbed the Mini 1000, which will undoubtedly make wallets wilt in these fiscally frisky times. It comes in at just under an inch of thickness, weighs in at 2.25 pounds, with an expected Intel Atom processor to keep things ticking along.

Sadly, there's no word on what kind of hard drive we'll be getting here, but with a US price tag of $399, we're expecting it won't be of the solid state variety. But you can expect that price will probably translate to something well above £300 when it lands on these shores.
