Sometimes we tire of seeing the same old grey mobile designs and their dull accessories. Which is why we had to share these two bits of colour and innovation, courtesy of Lego and Japanese design house Microworks.
The Lego mobile phone is apparently a follow-up to the digital camera we saw last month. Though not official, Alcatel has apparently had a hand in designing the phone, which has a set of fascias that can be snapped on and off if you're bored.
Sadly, there's no sign of any Lego's hair attachments for the phone, though it will apparently be a cheap PAYG affair in the $20-$60 bracket.
Alternatively, if you're tired of black charger cables snaking around your house, Microwork's Vine charger concept (below) might tickle your fancy. It's only a concept for Japanese network KDDI at the moment, but could yet make it into production – as long as grandmothers everywhere are warned not to water it.
