Apple has revealed that the cylindrical powerhouse that is the new Mac Pro will go on sale on 19 December, starting at £2,500.
That's tomorrow (in case you've lost track of the days) and its steep price tag will be hard to swallow for many.
But one look at its spec sheet should stifle any complaints. The Mac Pro definitely lifts.
The base configuration packs in a 3.7GHz quad-core Intel Xeon processor, dual AMD FirePro D300 GPUs with 2GB of RAM each, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage. Oh, and six Thunderbolt 2 ports.
That's enough muscle to edit 4K video while rendering effects at the same time, and according to our hasty calculations, it'll let you open 2,345 tabs in Safari at once*.
We can't wait to see just how much we can crank up the price with extra upgrades on release day, before burying our sorrows in a tub of Ben and Jerry's finest after realising we can't afford it.
* We might have made this up.
