Hands-on video – BlackBerry Bold 9700

So we heard about the Storm 2 last week, and BlackBerry wasted no time about rolling out another sequel to one of their popular phones earlier this we

Wasting no time, we went to the launch in Germany and got hands on with the new handset to check out how it compares the original.

With a boosted processor for faster web browsing and better video playback, the phone has been made slightly more Curve-esque in size, and skinnier too – although this downsizing has also meant a smaller screen at 2.4-inches.

There's a 3.2 megapixel camera, 3G, Wifi and GPS on board, not to mention a boosted battery life, 3.5mm jack and the replacement of the trackball with a touch-sensitive trackpad.

BlackBerry Messenger has had an overhaul too that means you can now connect to a friend by scanning a unique barcode on their phone with your camera. Voila, you are friends instantly with no PIN entry necessary.

Enough of all this though, you want to see it in action. Be sure to check out Lucy's first impressions and hands on photos, then head over the video and let us know what you think below.
