GScreen SpaceBook 17 makes dual-screens mobile

Two heads are better than one, so they say. The same applies to screens. In a laptop, more so

We first saw the GScreen SpaceBook 17 as a faraway gadget last month. Now this a one-of-a-kind wonder is a reality, and is set to give you two screens for the price of, well, two. So it’s pricey at US$2099, and not available on this side of the pond yet, but it certainly is impressive.

The two 17in HD screens slide out from the laptop’s magnesium alloy frame to let power-users multi-task without all those annoying windows piling on top of each other. With an Intel i7 Quad Core at 1.73GHz, 8GB RAM and a hefty 1GB Nvidia GeForce graphics processor even hardcore Photoshoppers can work anywhere with the comfort and power of a desktop computer. We dare not imagine how long the battery lasts on this 4.5KG beast, though.
