GoPro is earning its reputation as the helmet cam that goes where other cameras wouldn't dare. Everyone from high adrenaline extreme sports junkies to the BBC is using GoPro to record HD – so they’ll be pleased to hear the new HD Hero 2 is twice as powerful as its predecessor.
The super helmet cam can handle 1080p 16:9 video, ten 11MP snaps a second and three viewing angles of 90-degrees, 127-degress and 170-degress. And the best is yet to come – later in the year GoPro will launch its streaming WiFi BacPac, that allows for live broadcasting while on the move.
The Go Pro HD Hero 2 is available with three accessory packs: the surf, motorsport and outdoor editions – all for £300. UK release dates have yet to come, so stay tuned to Stuff.tv and we'll let you know as soon as we do. And for those wishing to save a few bucks, the original Go Pro HD Hero is now available for a more wallet-friendly US$200.
