Google Glass 2.0 already in the works, promises to be cool this time

The Big G is giving its smart specs a few nips and tucks in preparation for its release next year

Google is revamping Google Glass in preparation for a widespread 2014 face invasion, when the smart specs will be perching on the noses of the masses.

While we love Glass and all it has to offer, there’s no denying that it’ll take a brave gadgeteer to walk down the high street wearing them without feeling at least a little self conscious.

While there’s currently no indiction of what the re-designed Glass models will look like, we’re hoping they’ll be inconspicuous enough to wear in public. Dr Mary Lou Jepsen, head of Google’s X labs display division describes the newer specs as being “…lightweight, comfortable [and] cool”. Sounds good to us.

Fingers crossed for a contact lens version eh?
