Gadget of the Day: Klipsch iGroove SXT iPod dock

The only thing better than discovering new music is throwing your tastes out there for everyone else to hear. Especially if you have a nice portable j

A solid iPod dock is what’s needed, and we think we’ve found one: the Klipsch iGroove SXT. It uses horn technology – no sniggering please – the kind of wizardry you’d find in hi-fi’s exactly 1,000 times more expensive.

Klipsch’s horn-loaded tweeter technology has been a trademark of the audio expert for 60 years, the company boasts. Since it knows a thing or two about good sound, it’s top news that the iGroove SXT uses dual long-throw 6.4cm woofers.

It takes all iPods, with its inter-changeable iPod braces, and has a line-in for players which don’t happen to be made by Apple. The iGroove SXT also sports an S-video output and can be used like an alarm clock, waking you up with any of your favourite tunes or vids.

That’s the kind of sexy audio quality we demand from our compressed-up MP3s.
