Nintendo’s super-slim DS Lite will be hitting the UK’s high streets from 23rd June, and to celebrate it’s been given a summery paint job – black.
The stealth version will go on sale alongside the white model for a nice, round £100, although we’d have preferred the nice, round £70 the yanks are paying.
The dual colour scheme gives more than a subtle nod to the PSP’s livery, although the DS Lite’s lack of web browsing – Opera surfing will only be available from this summer in Japan – and MP3 playback means it doesn’t have the same all-round talent as Sony’s pocket king.
What it does offer, though, is life-consuming games, including New Super Mario Bros (out on 30th June), the hallucinatory Electroplankton (out on 7th July) and Tetris-style Zookeeper (out now).
