Nokia netbook on the way

26 Feb 2009

With netbooks everywhere now coming locked and loaded with SIM support, it's no surprise that Nokia fancies getting involved in the battle for micro–laptop supremacy. Their CEO, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, has stated that the mobile giant is lining up its own machine to go up against the Eee PC and Aspire One.NokNok has got the full skinny, with the suit saying that, "We are looking very actively also at this opportunity," when quizzed about diving head first into the vast netbook market. It would hardly be a surprise. Nokia is already cleaning up when it comes to smartphones, with their E series and N series dominating. Doing an Archos and going down the laptop route would make sense as mobile broadband truly takes off.Nokia hasn't put a time frame on its plans, but don't be surprised to see something out in the wild by the end of 2009. The N series netbook, maybe? Tell us what you think in the comments section.
