Nintendo announces Wii Motion Plus controller
Now, we all know that the Wiimote is a marvel of modern gaming engineering, but wouldn't it be great if it was, well, better?
It looks as if Mario and Co have been listening to Wii users' complaints about the accuracy and intuitiveness of the Wiimote, as they're about to unveil an add-on to the current Wiimote that will see gamers experience "more accurate motion in 3D space".
The Wii Motion Plus add-on attaches to the bottom of the current controller and can apparently track users' arm and wrist movements far more accurately than the current wave-and-hope-for-the-best system, allowing for true 1:1 tracking.
And it'll also hopefully curb any Wii damage caused by over-compensation.
Nintendo will announce more details of the Wii Motion Plus tomorrow at its E3 briefing.
