News Nugget – PlayStation ships 4.1m Moves for Christmas
The battle for motion-control console supremacy is simmering nicely in therun up to Christmas with Sony and Microsoft playing out a game oftit-for-tat one-upmanship.After Microsoft recently boasted it had sold 2.5 million Kinect sensorsworldwide in just 25 days – it took the Japanese manufacturer a month toshift the same number of its Move controllers – Sony has hit back with alittle sales gloating of its own.Clearly trying to steal Redmond's thunder, Sony has reported that it'sshipped 4.1 million units of the Move globally since it went on sale twomonths ago. While it doesn't translate as actually sales like the Redmondannouncement, it shows Sony is definitely readying itself for a busyChristmas.
