New iMac keeps on growing
Clear some desk space – the iMac just got bigger. The new top-end machine now boast a 24-inch widescreen display and a 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo processor. It is, Apple boasts, the fastest, biggest and brightest iMac it's ever made, with a 50 percent power boost on the previous incumbent.
For the first time, the rest of the line-up also gets the Duo treatment (as per the G5), with the same 2.16GHz chip in the 20-inch model. The two 17-inch versions come loaded with either a 1.83GHz or 2.0Ghz chip.
All four machines have a built-in iSight video camera and ship with iLife 06.
