New Eee PCs with all-day staying power

Amusing as our 'don't have the power' Scotty impression is, it can become pretty tiresome each time our laptop gives up the ghost and gives itself some hibernation relief.

Asus could be about to come to the rescue. It's been telling Taiwan's Digitimes about its plans for 'whole-day' batteries that'll power through an entire working day and still and still see you to checking your Facebook before heading for the bar.

Also on the horizon is bundled Internet storage for keeping your files online rather than clogging up Eee's limited hard drive – plus monthly "software and hardware" upgrades to ensure Asus keeps up with the HP Mini Notes and MSI Winds of this world.

And don't be surprised if an Eee falls out of the box when you buy your next phone. Asus says it'll be continuing with its plans with various networks to bundle Eees with mobile broadband. Beats a leather case.
