MSI debuts fresh laptops and all-in-ones
Computex is well under way in Taiwan, and MSI has been particularly busy. Not only has the firm unveiled the WindPad tablet, it’s also just pulled the dustsheets off a boatload of new all-in-ones and laptops.
On the all-in-one front we’ve got the MSI Wind Top AE2040, AE2280 and AE2420, all compact desktops with the important gubbins integrated into the 20, 22 or 24-inch touchscreen. The top of the range AE2420 is a bit of a pioneer too, as it’s the “first all-in-one touch PC with 3D display technology.” It uses active shutter tech to show off videos and games in that all-important extra dimension.
Laptop-wise there are two new ranges. The F series features five models ranging from 14 to 17-inches, all equipped with new Intel Core i5 processors, except the flagship FX610 notebook which totes a triple core AMD Danuble Champlain platform for super-long battery life.
The G series consists of four new gaming-centric notebooks, the GT660 and GT760, and GX640 and GX740. The GT models pack the quad core Intel Core i7 processor and GeForce GTX 285M graphics, while the GXers have an i5 chip and ATi Radeon HD5850 or HD5870 graphics.
