Motion-sensing Xbox 360 controller debuts
So it seems that the Wii and PS3 won't be hogging all the motion-sensitive gaming fun for too much longer: the first motion-tracking controller for the Xbox 360 has just been unveiled at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.
The Gametrak Freedom looks like a cross between the regular Xbox 360 control pad and a Wii Remote. Judging from the picture it's wireless too, and apparently will be supplied with a base station/stand that connects to your console via USB.
The system used can reportedly track up to four controllers at once, and each controller will be packaged with a game called Squeezeballs, which has been specially designed to show off the technology. We still don't know if the controller will be compatible with existing 360 titles, and if so, which ones - but with the Gametrak launching this autumn we expect to hear more about it in the near future.

Microsoft must be running out of original ideas, I mean come on! How much of a rip off is this. It's a Nintendo Wii controller with a new face :/

I don't see the point in this, the 360 is a gamers console through and through, it doesn't need any gimmicky motion sensing tripe.
Quick point though, it's not been made by Microsoft, so it would be Gametrak that have run out of original ideas.

why the negative comments?? i think its a great idea and adds another bow to the 360, personally i think it will make the 360 a better console and a variety in game play, i like wii games and i like xbox games so i get the best of both worlds!!
