Lenovo slides out more news on IdeaPad netbooks

18 Aug 2008

LenovoThe new Lenovo IdeaPad S9 and S10 have already been outed as the latest netbooks to weigh in for the Eee PC's crown, and now more news about what we can expect from the S9 has found its way online.

An SSD version, packing in Linux, will come with your regular 8.9in screen, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage, with a US price of around $250. It's available to order now in Hong Kong, with the US seeing their version find its way through the FCC regulators this weekend.

This model comes on top of the HDD rocking, XP toting versions of the S9 and S10 that have already slid out. These will be available with up to 120GB of storage and 1GB of RAM when they get official, apparently next month.

If all this netbook malarkey is starting to get a bit too much for your gadget addled mind, then make sure you take a peep at our feature telling you what to consider before laying out on one.
