Guitar Hero developer confirms DJ Hero plans

28 Oct 2008

Guitar HeroGuitar Hero has done us proud in recent years. Many an hour has been wasted prancing about the front room, plastic axe round our necks screaming out the lyrics to Livin' On A Prayer.

But next year that's all set to change. According to the gaming fanatics at CVG, Activision head honcho Brian Bright has confirmed that they are working on DJ Hero.

He wouldn't say anything more about the much–rumored title, other than that it was in production. Chances are we'll be seeing it next year, meaning our lounge will be transformed from a disgusting rockers paradise to a fake DJ booth populated by a series of chemically–enhanced hangers–on. Possibly.

Word is that you'll be able to play using Guitar Hero controllers, getting some of us excited by the worrying thought of a Jay–Z and Linkin Park mash–up. Except our efforts won't resemble some terrible teenage angst rock'n'rap.

Sadly, that's all we have, but stay tuned for more news as we get it. And remember you can play Guitar Hero World Tour at Stuff Live. Tickets are available from the official site.

The natural evolution from Guitar Hero, DJ hero sounds fantastic to me.   Cant wait for more details...

I'll need a bigger room though for all the kit, my tv area is already clogged up with the World Tour drums, guitars and Wii FIt balance board!
