Gadget of the Day – Korg nanoKEY USB keyboard

Fancy yourself as a bit of a bedroom tunesmith? Well this little box of tricks should get your creative juices flowing. It’s the Korg nanoKEY USB keyboard and slaps straight into your PC so you record and tinker without any messing.
You get a 25 note ‘board, replete with an octave shift function, letting you access Korg’s entire MIDI note range. So you can crank out your own prog-rock opus on this dinky monster without having to shell out for an instrument the size of your front door.
Head over to korg.com and you can also download their Kontrol Editor software, which will let you customise your sound even more. Whether this means you’ll ever be able to play your homemade megamixes in public however, remains a moot point.
