Dell Inspiron 15 gets official at last

29 Jan 2009

DellWe know all about the new Dell Mini 10 and their plans for a MacBook Air destroyer, dubbed Adamo. But the missing piece in Dell's 2009 plans has finally been confirmed. The Inspiron 15, first outed back in December, has just been given the green light by suits at the PC giant.

Starting at just £329, the 16:9 machine is a decent shout for a first laptop, but for those with a taste for optional extras and speccing their lappie up, there's plenty to be excited about.

On top of that wider screen, you Intel Core 2 Duo processors, webcam, a Blu–Ray drive for watching flicks in 720p, BlueTooth and face recognition software, similar to that found in Apple's spanking new version of iPhoto.

You can grab one now in black, red or blue. If you want something with a bit more grunt with a netbook, but don't want to break the bank, then this looks like as good an option as any.
