Apple killing off Mac Mini
It looks as if Apple's about to dig a rather small, square–shaped grave and lower its super–affordable and super cool Mac Mini into it. Despite its popularity with Mac fans the world over, it seems the micro machine just isn't doing the goods for Jobs and the boys, with retailers in Europe claiming Apple has told them they won't be getting any more to flog on.The news comes courtesy of Gizmodo, who reckon Apple has given out the word that there'll be no more Mac Minis up for order. While you can still nab one from the Apple Store, it might be worth heading over their quick, because they won't be doing the rounds much longer.Starting at £399, the Mac Mini is the only affordable Apple computer left. And if it does prove that Cupertino is bringing an end to proceedings, the question is whether they'll introduce a replacement at MacWorld. With no plans for a netbook, it might be the case that Apple is abandoning the low–end market altogether. What do you think? Is Apple right to kill off the Mac Mini? I've just ordered a Mac Mini for iPhone game development. It would have been a more difficult decision if it had to be one of the more expensive models.

Nooooo, don't do it!! At least not until I can get one just before Xmas. It'd be a great introduction into the world of Mac, as my budget just won't stretch to a MacBook, and all I want is a unassuming PC to go with my TV in the living room as a easy to use media server, the Front Row software makes it a whole load more suitable than any Windows machine.

Please Apple No. I own two MAC MINI's which I love. Like most people I always wanted an Apple but never could afford their costly price tag. Bought my first Apple MAC MINI 1.42 G4 in Nov' 2005. After a couple of weeks I simply loved it. Why? It's virtually silent. Takes up hardly any space. Easy to use. No worries about viruses. And to coin a well worn phrase - it works. I've bought my second MAC MINI this year which I love to bits. They're perfect. I was hoping Apple to upgrade the MAC MINI by including a Blu-Ray drive but alas not!
