Adamo 9 netbook next in line for Dell

17 Mar 2009

Dell AdamoThe 13in Adamo has only just broken cover, but it seems Dell is already planning a new netbook version. Dubbed the Adamo 9, the new machine will be going head–to–head with the Eee PC Shell in the slimline stakes.

Engadget has dug up the full skinny, unveiling plans to pack the machine with Windows XP, as well as HSPA and GPS. That means it'll be very much top of the netbook pile, undoubtedly with a price to match.

There's no word on when we can expect the Adamo 9, but with the first model out, you can bet the floodgates are about to well and truly open. What this means for the likes of the Sony Vaio P series or the much–hyped Apple touchscreen netbook remains to be seen.

You can read up on the slick new Dell Adamo now. And remember to stay put for our hands–on and first impressions too.

Amazing performance desite the v high price . Sleek and slim but still a bit heavy (although due to the strong build quality and not being made from cheap light weight plastics)
