Aspire One Pro 531

Acer has added a new netbook to its Aspire One family, and the Pro 531 is aimed at the suited and booted types among you.

Described as a "professional model", the Pro 531 is aimed at giving business folk on-the-go a portable solution for when they need to do those all important Excel spreadsheets on the train.

Spec wise, you're looking at a 10.1-inch screen, 250GB hard drive, XP Pro, webcam, Wi-fi and 3G all in a 2.5cm thick shell, weighing in at just over 1kg. There will then be two options to choose from –  a 1GB RAM version with a 3 cell battery, or you can opt for 2GB RAM with a 6 cell battery for up to 7.5 hours battery life.

Of course, because it's businessy, it's in a very sensible black colour with dark silver-grey trim – no bubblegum pinks here.

The Aspire One Pro 531 comes in a little pricier than previous members of the family, and will hit the shelves for around £400 and £460 for small and big specs respectively.
