Sony Cybershot T500

After lifting the lid on their Cybershot T77 and T700 a couple of weeks back, Sony has just
unveiled another new compact snapper, this time squaring up to Samsung's HD digicams. The new Cybershot T500 will shoot 720p hi-def video, meaning you don't need to lash out on a separate camcorder to snaffle HD pics for your shonky home movie collection.

As well as all this high-end video goodness, you get a 10MP sensor, 5x optical zoom and a 4GB card bundled you can stash away al your handiwork no sweat. That’ll be enough room to store a hefty 60 minutes of HD footage on the go. Not too bad we reckon.

It’s due out next month in three different colours - piano black, silver and red. Whether it can really take on Samsung’s efforts remains to be seen. We’ll be getting some hands on time with it later, so keep it locked to Stuff.tv for more as we get it.
