Olympus E–620 DSLR gets official airing

24 Feb 2009

Olympus E–620While Samsung plays in the shallow–end with its PMP–toting PL10 compact, Olympus is kicking it with the big boys, unleashing their slick new E–620 DSLR. Aimed at newbies to the full–on camera game, it packs enough features to sate even the most diehard snapper.

On top of a 12.3MP Live MOS sensor, you'll find a swivel LCD screen clocking in at 2.7in, wireless flash controller, faster autofocus when using Live View and full manual controls for creating perfect pictures.

You can also choose multi–aspect shooting, letting you decide whether your handiwork lines up in 4:3, 16:9, 6:6 or 3:2. Not half bad we reckon.

Olympus is keeping us guessing on price, but with US punters looking at $700 for the body only, expect something in the region of £550 when it lands in May.
