30 Jul 2009

Nikon D300SFollowing on from the launch of the entry-level D3000, Nikon has also bestowed upon us a new semi-pro DSLR in the shape of the D300S.

Built on the foundations laid by the D300, Nikon have kept the 12.3 megapixels and the 51-point autofocus system, and added in HD movie capability, a boosted frame rate of 7fps and dual CF and SD memory card slots.

There's also a new external stereo sound input for hooking up a mic, and in-camera editing for snipping your clips down to the good bits on the camera's 3-inch screen.

The D300S will hit shelves on 28 August and set you back £1499.99 for the body only.

We'll be getting our hands on it asap, so keep it locked to Stuff.tv for a hands-on video review shortly, and check out our full review of the D300 to see what it has to live up to.
