Kodak’s Zi6 brings HD to budget camcorder
Creative and Flip better watch their backs – there’s a new player at the pocket camcorder table, and its got an ace up its sleeve. Kodak’s new Zi6 is the response to the new breed of YouTube-friendly upright shooters on the market, and it adds 720p shooting to the mix.
Just like the Creative Vado and the Flip, the Zi6 sports a super-simple interface and a flip-out USB plug for instant uploading, but can switch between VGA video and a rival-beating 30fps or 60fps HD video.
There’s a meagre 128MB of onboard memory, so it’s clips of cats in washing machines unless you shell out for an SD card…
