Gorillapod Magnetic comes unstuck

Gorillapod Magnetic

Joby – the company that makes the go-anywhere Gorillapod tripod – has introduced a new magnetic model.

The named-by-Ronseal Gorillapod Magnetic adds metallic attraction to the list of ways it can keep your camera in one place, next to wrapping and standing on virtually any surface.

And the makers claim the 70g, six-inch tall tripod will support digicams and camcorders up to 325g, meaning it should hold the weight of all but the bulkiest compacts.

The new tripod means flat, vertical metal surfaces such as car bodies, fridge doors, table legs and door frames will be available to photographers who want to keep their options open.

Joby also announced the Ballhead X for Gorillapod Focus, aimed at the professional market to help pan, tilt and rotate cameras while mounted on a tripod.

Both will be available globally in April, with prices to be announced.

Good idea, why not make all gorillapods like this?

I'm presuming getting the thing stuck to the camera doesn't knacker the memory
