Canon officially unveils EOS 50D
Having already given anyone who cared to look a glimpse of their new DSLR last week, Canon has officially confirmed the release of their new EOS 50D. And as expected it comes crammed with enough features to inspire you to new levels of paparazzi action.
The spec sheet is exactly as expected, with a 15.1MP sensor, a DIGIC 4 image processor, support for ISO up to a massive 12,800, a 3in LCD with Live View and face detection and HDMI for checking your snaps on your HDTV.
Canon says this one's aimed at “the advanced amateur”, with a price tag to match. With a lens it'll set you back £1,500, with the body costing £1,200. So you'll need to get saving if you want to make like a celeb hounding tabloid snapper.
And remember if all this seems too much to take, you can always snaffle yourself one of their new A series instead.
