Sony SLT-A37 launched

New mid-range 16.1-megapixel translucent mirror camera can shoot at up to 7fps

Sony has unveiled its latest SLT camera, the A37. A mid-ranger in its DSLR-esque series of translucent mirror models, it features a hi-res electronic viewfinder much like the lovely example on the A57, plus the ability to shoot at a scorching 7fps in burst mode.

It’ll also capture full HD video and boasts a 100-16000 ISO range, and like all Sony SLTs comes with in-body image stabilisation.

Sony also unveiled a new 18-135mm “travel zoom” lens, offering a greater zoom range (approximately 8x) than the average kit lens. Both this and the SLT-A37 will be on sale at the end of May, with prices TBC.
