Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150 packs 3D

How'd you like a 24x zoom all up in your face?

Yep, that’s a nice Leica 25mm wide-angle lens on the front there – with 24x optical zoom. But the main additions to the latest in Panasonic’s range of Lumix FZ performance compacts are those invisible bits of magic that we can’t truly appreciate until we test them out.

Take, for instance, Black Box Nano Surface Coating which means that Panasonic has slapped a special coating over the lens to reduce light ghosting and flare. Plus, as well as a new 3D shooting mode for stills and full HD 1080p video, the Lumix FZ150 also packs a new 12.1MP sensor and a stereo mic with noise cancellation. It’ll be superzooming its way to the US for $500 (£300) in late September and we’ll keep you posted for UK details.
