Good news for anyone who hates configuration menus - Sony Ericsson's making it easier for your Bluetooth moby and headset to talk together.

Using a new tech called Auto Pairing, SE's upcoming HBH-610a headset (pictured) will automatically search and pair with any Sony Ericsson phone in the vicinity.

All you have to do is press one button and the two will work together - a far cry from the current laborious procedure of manually searching, selecting the right phone and tapping in easily mislaid PIN codes.

To start with, Auto Pairing will only work with Sony Ericsson mobs and headsets. Other mobile makers we spoke to said they had no plans at the moment to add the technology to their phones and headsets.

The 610a will also hook up with any Bluetooth phone via the old school pairing technique. It goes on sale before Christmas for a price that's still TBC.
