Thought Garmin's nuvi 5000 was large? Try Pioneer's NavGate 500 for size.
It stretches its 800x480-pixel touchscreen to a stonking 5.8in – the biggest we've ever seen on a 'pocket' mapper.
Bluetooth and live traffic all fit in its roomy frame plus maps for 30 European countries, including the Turkeys and Croatias of this world that usually get chopped from the sat-nav atlas.
Handsfree-meister Parrot has even managed to squeeze in a whole Bluetooth car kit in the spare gaps Pioneer left unfilled.
That should go some way to justifying the price – a hefty €700 (£475). Ouch!
