Welcome to our showcase of the hottest tech for 2008 – are you ready for the future?
Now that mobile phone gaming is a serious possibility, it’s time Sony licensed its last mega-brand to Sony Ericsson: enter the PlayStation Phone.
The PSPhone wouldn’t fall into the same form-factor trap as other gaming mobile phones. It would have a cool dual-slider opening mechanism. Slide the screen to the right and an analogue joystick is revealed, similar to the PSP's.
Slide it left and you have a full mobile phone keypad. It’d also have a pair of shoulder buttons and the iconic PlayStation four-button layout.
A 3in screen would make a nice display with the same 480x272 resolution as the PSP and all storage will be on M2 memory cards, not UMD. So come on Sony, we've given you all the specs you need – what are you waiting for?
