Asus Transformer Prime to get Ice Cream Sandwich in January

The long-awaited quad-core tablet may be getting Android 4.0 sooner than you think

The ever-leaky Italians are at it again, letting it slip on Asus’ Facebook page that the Asus Transformer Prime will be launching with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in Italy at the end of January.

The Transformer Prime is now available to pre-order for £500 and should hit UK shelves mid January – we expect an OTA update to Ice Cream sandwich soon after its Italian launch.

All we need now is a solid release date to satisfy our cravings and we’ll be all set for some Tegra 3-powered tablet action to start off the New Year.
