Asus DR-950 e-reader gets pictured

Earlier in the week, we brought you the news that Asus was planning to bring a 6-inch colour-screen e-reader to market before the end of the year.Howe

However, it seems before that we could well see a black-and-white 9-inch device heading to our shelves, after Asus posted pictures of a device called the DR-950 on to its Flickr account.

The chaps over at Electricpig got the lowdown on the device, which alongside its monochrome touchscreen is reported to pack both Wifi and 3G, text-to-speech capabilities, and availability in two versions – 2GB or 4GB with the chance to up the memory via SD card.

Both the company's UK Twitter account and the Facebook account pointed users in the direction of the snaps stating: "Finally the Asus DR-950 E-Reader has been spotted! Breaking cover in the ASUS UK office this afternoon!"

Check out the snaps both above and below and see what you think to it – will you be waiting for the colour e-readers we're expecting 2010 to offer up to us?
