Twitter for iPhone – app goes official
The iPhone and iPod Touch have finally got an official Twitter client, thanks to the launch today of Twitter for iPhone. Grab it free of charge over at the app store and get microblogging with Twitter’s official blessing.
Based around popular iPhone Twitter client Tweetie 2 (check our Fast Facts for the lowdown on that), it adds a unified search that checks updates, users and “Top Tweets” simultaneously.
An iPad-tailored version is expected at some point in the future.

Great! Thanks for the update! The ugly icon is gone, and there are no ads to be seen. They also left everything pretty much the way it was in Tweetie which is fantastic.
